Cleanliness and Hygiene:

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before handling food.

Ensure all utensils, cutting boards, and countertops are clean and sanitized.

Change kitchen towels regularly and use disposable paper towels when possible.

Safe Food Storage:

Store raw meat, poultry, and seafood separately from ready-to-eat foods.

Keep the refrigerator temperature at or below 40°F (4°C).

Use airtight containers to store leftovers.

Cross-Contamination Prevention:

Use separate cutting boards for raw meat and vegetables.

Avoid using the same utensils for different food items without proper cleaning.

Clean and sanitize surfaces that come into contact with raw meat.

Thorough Cooking:

Label containers with the date when leftovers were prepared.

Consume leftovers within a safe timeframe (typically within 3-4 days).

Be aware of common food allergens and inform guests if any allergens are present in your dishes.

Personal Health and Hygiene:

Avoid preparing food if you’re sick, especially if you have symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea.

Use disposable gloves when necessary.

Inspect and clean your refrigerator and freezer regularly.
